A new favorite

I finally have had a moment to update my website. Check out my new favorite of all time. I always put my favorites on my Home Page. This gem of a cake is not for the average guy. They would look at it and say, " Just that for all that money?" What doesn't meet the eye at first glance is the "patina" that this little edible "box/vase" has. It looks old. The stark lines have softened and crumbled a bit. The colors are soft and old with a hint of edible gold leaf. The beads hanging from the cake board ad some "muffled" bling. However, what really doesn't come accross initially are the very complicated flowers. Each flower has at least six parts; all personally handcrafted, of course. Nothing is outsourced. I buy nothing " pre-fab." Those pre-fab ones look stamped. There is no life to them; they are too perfect; not what you would see in nature.

All my cakes have my heart in them, but this one was special because it was small, and, I thought, it still had the "wow!" factor. It was fun. Let me know what you think, if you have a second. :)
